📢 Are you interested in doing a PhD in a cutting-edge, applied environment with real impact?
In the Photonic Engineering Group of the University of Cantabria we are looking for a motivated person, eager to learn and grow as a researcher, to join through the “Concepción Arenal” predoctoral contract grants (UC’s Predoctoral Research Personnel Training Program).
🔬 We offer the opportunity to develop a doctoral thesis within various research lines of the group, in a well-established environment with extensive research experience and participation in competitive projects and active collaborations.
🌱 Our work encompasses different technologies (LIBS and Raman spectroscopy, hyperspectral imaging, optical coherence tomography (OCT), laser materials processing, thermography, etc.) applied to 🩺 biomedicine, 🏛 archaeology, 🌍 the environment, and 🏭 industry.
💡 Depending on the specific topic, the doctoral work may include: design, improvement, and optimization of experimental setups, simulations, data processing, and artificial intelligence.
🌍 In addition, there is the possibility of undertaking research stays abroad with international groups with whom we regularly collaborate.
🤗If you’re motivated to join a dynamic team with a great work environment, this could be your opportunity! 📩 If you’re interested or know someone who might be a good fit, don’t hesitate to get in touch or share this post.
